February Fun

If you live anywhere near the East coast then you know ......
we have had a tough winter -- to say the least!!
I live in the mid-Atlantic and we've had more than our share of snow and below freezing temps!

BUT .... the bright spot of this winter has got to be art classes
At the Beach
with a group of great women!
Each year we gather in Virginia Beach
to take lessons from Ros Stallcup.
It's a week full of  love, laugher, and beautiful art projects.

The week started with a sweet sunrise --

First things first ... a little gift for everyone

even though the weather was a bit grey this year -
we had plenty of sunny faces in class

Some come from North Carolina and points south all the way to Florida, some are local and some from New Jersey and points north -- some are sisters, or  mother/daughter
-- or best friends, old friends, new friends  --
ALL of us love being together for a care free week tapping into our
artistic side as we are guided  by Ros' expert instruction.

Miss Opal is 98 - yes 98!!!
We all want to be just like her when we grow up :)

At the end of the week we go out for dinner together to celebrate!!
.....and make plans to come together again next year :)

Everyone gets a picture to remember,
all wearing our class tee shirt

Most of us will be back again next year,
but there's always room for new friends...
we hope you'll join us!

Leave a comment and tell us what you love best
about art classes ...

November just might be my favorite month --
certainly it is in the top three -
right up there with Christmas and my birthday!

In addition to all the good food and family fun of Thanksgiving,
I look forward to spending a week in November
At the Beach -- with Ros Stallcup.
I've been doing that every year since 2002
and it is definitely one of the highlights of my year.

At home I like to sleep in whenever possible,
but at the beach I'm up early enough to catch the sunrise every morning!

Can you blame me when this is my reward?  What a way to start the day..

It gets even better though ... when we get to class.

There's time to catch up with old friends, and make new ones,

while still learning lots of decorative painting lessons from our favorite pro!

Ros Stallcup has an extraordinary talent - not just for her beautiful paintings,
but for the ability to guide us to our own beautiful paintings.

I cant think of a better way to spend a girl's vacation -- can you?

I'll definitely be back next year.
Come join us..
